My Cloning Secret: The Get Efficient Prioritization Matrix

by | Jul 14, 2017 | Blog, How to Clone Yourself

Imagine this: you wake up tomorrow morning, your head full of your list of things to do that day. But before you can even pour your first cup of coffee, your inbox starts to fill up with notifications that your actions items are done-done-DONE! Then someone who looks like your twin walks in and hands you that cup of coffee.

How much easier would it be to run your business if there were 2 … or 4 … or even 6 of you??

I can't offer you a literal cloning machine (which is probably a good thing, if sci-fi movies have taught me anything!) – calling it cloning is just my way of saying we need more of you in the world – people who are willing to show up, support you and put in the energy to make things happen!

What I want to talk about in this post is how you can more efficiently prioritize your time by occasionally letting yourself lean on a team of amazing partners-in-crime who share your vision!

The Get Efficient Prioritization Matrix

I want to give you a framework that can help you figure out the big questions:

  • What should I outsource?
  • What should I keep doing?
  • What should I systematize?  prioritization matrix

So, where do you start? Well, the first step is to identify what you really hate doing and what takes a ton of time. If there is something that you really hate doing and it takes up a lot of your valuable time, you should consider outsourcing it! Just share that work with someone who can do it better than you can. Self-made millionaires and billionaires outsource 9 out of 10 times when there is someone else out there who can do it better. Other people tend to try to DIY everything – that's just not an efficient use of time.

On the other hand, if you hate a task but it doesn't take a lot of your time, or you love it but it does take up a lot of time, start to think about developing some systems that you can put in place to get through these tasks more efficiently by yourself. You can also outsource them if you're really in a time crunch!

If there is something that you love to do that doesn't take up much time, keep on keeping on!

So what immediately comes to mind when you ask yourself which tasks you absolutely love and want to keep on doing? Let us know in the comments!
